Hainsworth Park Golf Club
Hainsworth Park Golf Club is Yorkshire's friendliest golf club! The course set in mature parkland and makes for easy walking. With the course in the middle of a nature hotspot, it is a test for any level of golfer - accuracy off the tee proves vitally important to avoid the trees. You will find bunkers, water hazards and trees are strategically place to make this a true thinking person's course.
The club itself was formed in 1983 and is set in established grounds with mature trees and interesting water features. It is an easy walking championship length course that has wide fairways, but golfers should beware the many hazards that can ensnare any wayward shots! Close to, but protected from the coast, the course is extremely well drained and offers all year round excellent playing conditions, without temporary tees or green. Plus, trolleys are never banned!
The course was originally constructed as 9 holes, but this was rapidly expanded to 18 and continues to offer developments to this day. Recent additions have seen a new bunker now at the front of the green on the third to catch the long drive, and an additional pond on the par 5 17th narrowing the fairway and catching a poor second shot.
A friendly reception awaits you in the shop from PGA Professional Paul Mayoh and his team, which is a well stocked outlet for all your golfing needs. Find brands such as Ping, Tour Edge, Glenmuir Calvin Klein and Sunderland to name but a few.
The Clubhouse offers a wide range of facilities and a typical Yorkshire warmth for all members and visitors. Visitors are also welcome to use the locker room facilities, bar and pool table, and there is a wide range of refreshments along with an ever changing menu to enjoy. Either sit in the dining area or outside in the summer months where the tables and chairs are located overlooking the 18th green.
